Our 2024-2025 Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan demonstrates our commitment to advancing reconciliation by bridging the divide between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We strive to build a workforce that values the unique contributions of First Nations peoples and integrates their knowledge into our environmental work.
Developing our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan
The development of our Reconciliation Action Plan is grounded in a dedication to creating “legacy landscapes” – spaces that respect and incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultural values, traditional ecological knowledge, and sustainable practices. This commitment aligns with Reconciliation Australia’s five dimensions of reconciliation: Race Relations, Equality and Equity, Unity, Institutional Integrity, and Historical Acceptance.
We acknowledge that reconciliation is an ongoing journey. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we aim to contribute to a future where positive relationships are built on trust and respect, and where racism has no place in our society. We recognise that for reconciliation to be meaningful, it must drive actionable change that addresses historical injustices, fosters respect, and supports opportunities for First Nations peoples.
We look forward to the year ahead as we continue to foster respectful relationships and work to create lasting opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples now and into the future.
